A Rich History

Founded in 1867, Wallingford Presbyterian Church began as a mission of Zion Presbyterian Church and was originally known as Siloam Presbyterian Church. With the generous support of Mrs. E.G. Wallingford, the church acquired its first building and expanded its mission to include education and community outreach. Over the years, Wallingford has grown into a vital community hub, offering a wide range of programs and services that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Charleston residents.

Our church has always been at the forefront of addressing the needs of the community. From providing education and childcare during the challenges of the early 20th century to leading voter registration and community service programs, Wallingford has been a source of hope, resilience, and empowerment for all who seek support.
